HOW TO localize your Easy Flash Template for a different language/character set?
Easy Flash Templates are provided in English but you can easily adapt your Easy Flash website template to your region's language, even using completely different character sets such as Chinese, Japanese, Arabic etc.
This tutorial guides you through the easy steps involved in customizing your Easy Flash template to your own language, so you can use the symbols and characters you like to use on your website.
Firstly, let's split available fonts into 2 groups for an easier understanding. They are:
- System fonts (fonts that are built into your operating system), and
- Non system fonts (fonts that users have installed themselves).
These are the standard fonts that are used most often:
- Arial
- Tahoma
- Verdana
- Times New Roman
- Trebuchet MS
Wherever your Easy Flash template uses these standard fonts in text fields, (all bodytext uses these fonts by default) you don't need to make any changes. However, the name/title of the website, page headings, menu items and 'read more' buttons sometimes don't use standard fonts and for these, you need to replace the non-standard font first.
Changing non-standard to standard font:
First, choose a font or several fonts that you feel suit your template's design - making sure that your chosen font fully supports your language. Install this font into your system if it has not been installed yet. After that, start Adobe Flash software. Open Library and find a Movie Clip with a text field you want to change. Double click on it.

Select the text field.

In the pull-down menu, chose your standard font.

Then click on "Embed..."

In the pop-up window, select the language group and symbols you want to embed. To select multiple symbols, hold the Ctrl Control key while clicking.

Now you have successfully localized your Easy Flash website template. Enjoy!
